An Improved L-1

Coming from the L-1's, I appreciate the improvements that the L-2's provide.

The pull tabs at the back make it easier to put the shoe on, the materials are better quality and provide a more unique aesthetic, the Velcro straps dont scrape the ground when tightened fully and it fits the foot better. Small improvements but they create a much better product.

Definitely recommend purchasing if you have wide feet too as they are quite roomy.

TWL L-2 lifters

I’ve been lifting in the TWL L-2s and they’ve quickly become my go-to for squat days and heavy lower sessions.

The raised heel feels solid and stable without being overly aggressive, which makes hitting depth feel smoother and more consistent. The base is wide and grippy, giving that locked-in feeling under load—no foot movement, no wobble, just confidence at the bottom of the lift.

They’re surprisingly comfortable straight out of the box with no break-in period, and the double strap system keeps everything secure without cutting off circulation. The shoe feels built for performance but still practical enough for longer sessions.

Overall, the TWL L-2s are a great option if you want a stable, well-balanced lifting shoe that supports heavy squats and Olympic-style movements without feeling clunky. Functional, comfortable, and clearly designed by people who actually lift. 💪

Very happy with my purchase!

Bought TYR - L2 Lifter shoes and very very happy with my purchase. Easy to navigate the TWL website to make my purchase and order arrived within timeframe advised. Chose these shoes for the wider toe box to support appropriate foot positioning when lifting. Highly recommend!

More solid and stable over the L1

These feel more planted, stiffer and solid compared to the L1.
So great for oly lifts and squats, but the L1 feels better for lunges and split squats because it is more flexible and less structured feeling

Still feels as comfortable as the L1 for my wide feet, in the same size, but I do feel a touch more pressure on my outer left foot toe

Feels solid and comfortable. Certainly better than just wearing chucks. Using the sizing chart I gave myself an extra cm of wiggle room which ended up being the same size as my new balance running shoes. I have wider feet btw, this feels suitably tight, but not too tight.
