Most velcro lifting belts have one fatal flaw: they rely entirely on hook-and-loop to hold under heavy load. The TWL 4 inch Hybrid Velcro Lifting Belt was engineered to solve that problem permanently.
The centrepiece of the TWL Hybrid Belt is the Knurled Metal TWL Strap Lock — and this is what separates it from every standard velcro belt on the market, including plastic-locked competitors.
By routing the strap through the metal lock, the tensile load is transferred away from the Velcro entirely. The Strap Lock bears the force of the lift — not the hook-and-loop. This means:
- The Velcro lasts significantly longer (no premature stretching or delamination)
- The belt holds secure under maximal loads where plastic locks crack or slip
- Fast transitions between heavy sets and conditioning work — loosen in one motion, re-tighten in seconds
At 4 inches wide (100mm), the TWL Hybrid Belt delivers full lower back and core coverage across the full range of barbell movements — squats, deadlifts, cleans, snatches, overhead press, and barbell cycling in metcons.
The closed-cell foam core maintains consistent compression and support session after session — it doesn't compress over time, doesn't absorb sweat, and won't lose its shape the way open-cell alternatives do.

SIZE GUIDE:
Belt sizing is not your pants size. Measure around your bare waist at the navel using a flexible tape measure or string. Take the measurement while relaxed — do not suck in. When in doubt between two sizes, go with the larger. A belt that's too small won't close under load; a belt with slightly more adjustment range is always the safer choice.
