Most speed ropes spin via a single direct connection between the cable and handle. Under fatigue, this creates friction, inconsistency, and the kind of mid-set rope failure that ruins an unbroken set at the worst possible moment.

The TWL Typhoon uses a twin-bearing system — two independent bearings working in tandem:
