| Features | 1000 denier nylon is the heavyweight of the nylon family. The number refers to the thickness of the yarn, and at 1000D each thread is roughly ten times heavier than the nylon used in a standard rain jacket. The result is a dense, tightly woven fabric built for abrasion, load and years of being thrown in the back of a ute. It is the same grade of fabric used in military load-bearing gear and climbing packs, which tells you what it is designed to handle: dragging across gym floors, scraping on concrete, overstuffed with plates and chalk, and getting rained on in the car park. The surface has a slightly textured hand feel, holds its shape under weight, and resists tears, scuffs and fading far better than lighter weaves.
